CRLA Peer Tutor Training
Tutor training at the Academic Success Center is certified through the ) and is designed to meet the requirements for the International Tutor Training Program Certification (ITTPC) for certified tutors levels I 鈥 III. Each training has specific learning objectives and requirements for training and tutoring experience.
Note: To participate in tutor training, tutors must be active employees for a tutoring center on campus.

CRLA certification is an essential professional development opportunity for peer tutors. The Certified Tutor, Advanced Tutor, and Master Tutor certifications equip peer tutors with a credential recognized as the industry standard in the field of learning support. Additionally, participating in training provides tutors with the opportunity to sharpen tutoring best practices, self-reflect as learners and tutors, network with peer tutors across campus, and develop transferable skills, such as communication, problem-solving, and evidence-based learning strategies.
