Several days a week, students with the food recovery club collect and transport unserved food to give to those in need. This semester, the club devoted to reducing food waste has provided nearly 800 pounds of food to the community.

USF anthropology students are using ground-penetrating radar to help locate objects under the surface at Weedon Island Preserve. The nature preserve is located along the western shore of Tampa Bay in Pinellas County. It is considered one of the most significant archaeological sites in 51ÔÚÏß.

USF anthropologist Heather O’Leary turned her coastal impact data into music that people could understand and enjoy. The project, CRESCENDO, is an interdisciplinary group of faculty and students working together to create and disseminate moving music about the environment.

A new street mural on the USF St. Petersburg campus has been painted between the University Student Center and Student Life Center – melding geometric figures with school spirit. It was painted by a graphic arts faculty member along with 10 students and was part of the SHINE St. Petersburg Mural Festival.
