USF memorializes former President Jimmy Carter with 3D virtual tour of boyhood farm
Prior to his death, USF’s Center for Digital Heritage and Geospatial Information partnered with President Jimmy Carter and the National Park Service to create virtual tours of his boyhood farm, high school he attended and railroad depot that served as campaign headquarters for Carter’s successful 1976 presidential bid. Check out the interactive tours available to the public.

USF graduates celebrate unwavering support, resiliency during fall commencement
Nearly 4,000 degrees were conferred during this fall’s commencement. The group, which represented 93 countries, 42 states and 11 U.S. territories, included 47 undergraduate students earning a perfect 4.0 grade point average and 107 military veterans. All now share a common theme – they are USF alumni.

Levi Thompson has been named as the new dean of theÌýCollege of Engineering. Thompson is a highly accomplished researcher who brings strong leadership and administrative experience, including most recently serving as the College of Engineering dean at the University of Delaware and previously as a faculty member at the University of Michigan.Ìý

The 51ÔÚÏß is one of the best places to work in the country, according to the inaugural list of America’s Dream Employers 2025 recently released by Forbes. USF was the only public or private university in 51ÔÚÏß to make the list.

USF and TGH partner with robotics company to become the first to bring life-saving surgical technology to Tampa Bay
The agreement with Medical Microinstruments will help elevate the standard in reconstructive oncology and the care of cancer patients in 51ÔÚÏß. It was signed during a special ceremony in Italy, as part of a week-long trade mission led by 51ÔÚÏß Governor Ron DeSantis.

USF breaks ground on new on-campus stadium
The 51ÔÚÏß has broken ground on a 35,000-seat on-campus stadium, marking a significant milestone in enhancing student life and alumni engagement. Scheduled to open in fall 2027, the stadium will host USF's football and women’s lacrosse teams, and serve as a year-round venue for sports, concerts and community events.

USF welcomes community to Homecoming events Nov. 4-9
After being postponed due to Hurricane Milton, the 51ÔÚÏß is ready to welcome the community to celebrate Homecoming – one of USF’s oldest and most treasured traditions. Dozens of events are scheduled, including a carnival, comedy show, parade and the USF football game as the Bulls take on the Navy Midshipmen.

Amir Abdur-Rahim passed away suddenly on Oct. 24. He was the American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year this past season and led the Bulls to their first regular-season conference championship. Men’s basketball associate head coach Ben Fletcher has been named the team’s interim head coach.
