  • During the academic year 2022-2023, InEd Studios successfully completed over 250 video, audio, and design projects for university marketing, educational documentaries for state-wide and national audiences, and, most notably, the development of high-quality online courses.  
  • InEd鈥檚 learning designers partnered with faculty to develop 155 online courses that met quality design standards, a 68% increase from 2021-2022.  In support of these courses, the team produced a wide variety of customized learning materials, including interactive graphics, infographics, PDFs, presentations, animated content, screencast demonstrations, custom avatars, games, and podcasts. 
  • The Digital Learning team extended their support to faculty members on 2,118 distinct occasions, addressing a wide range of learning technology and pedagogical requirements, resulting in nearly 1,000 hours of consultation. 
  • The Digital Learning team prepared dozens of 鈥淢onday Minute鈥 videos and shared them during a weekly email campaign to over 1,600 faculty. These videos are short, timely, informational pieces on digital teaching and learning practices. 
  • InEd's Digital Learning launched a successful campaign to increase the number of certified faculty to teach online. In the first six months of 2023, InEd certified 262 faculty and is on track to issue the highest number of annual certifications since the inception of the OIC in 2012. Nearing its 10th year, the OIC has certified over 2400 online instructors, and the feedback from our faculty participants has been instrumental in its success. 
  • More than 2,000 faculty members participated in InEd鈥檚 fully online, asynchronous, workshops during the 2022-2023 academic year.  The most popular workshop was the 鈥淗onorlock Readiness鈥 program, with 945 participants. Nearly 700 faculty enrolled in workshops related to Kaltura and more than 300 participated in the Camtasia Foundations workshop. 
  • The Digital Learning Training and Support team held more than a dozen live (synchronous) workshops for faculty, serving nearly 175 attendees. Topics ranged from Honorlock or Microsoft Teams Essentials to Canvas fundamentals to building academic integrity plans. 

New Initiatives

  • The Marketing Team and the Recruiting Team worked hand-in-hand to promote eight fully online graduate programs or certificates created in partnership with various colleges.  The recruitment team assisted nearly 700 prospective students and applicants, resulting in 313 new USF students during the 2022-2023 academic year.  New Initiatives Two new fully online graduate certificate programs were launched this year, both created in partnership with the USF College of Engineering.   
    • Students in the Artificial Intelligence Graduate Certificate will learn the skills needed to build and integrate next-generation AI tools and become well-qualified for roles in data mining, natural language processing, machine learning, autonomous robotics and other technologies.  
    • Those in the Pathway to Computing Graduate Certificate is a 15-credit bridge program that can help students change careers and either prepare for a master鈥檚-level computer science program or qualify for positions in the white-hot technical job market.  
  • The inaugural Innovation in Online Design and Teaching Award was created to recognize exceptional online teaching practices and design, development, and delivery. Sanghoon Park, from the USF College of Education, received the 2022-2023 honor for his Current Trends in Instructional Technology; USF Department of World Languages Assistant Instructor Margarita Altuna and USF Muma College of Business Instructor Loran Jarrett were finalists. 
    USF Innovative Education launched a pilot process and a multi-semester pilot and evaluation of Harmonize, an online discussion platform that help students contribute in ways that feel familiar and natural and creates a social learning environment that is inclusive of diverse learners. 
  • The Recruitment Team launched Student Success Coaching and Online Canvas Orientation for newly admitted students into 2 new online engineering programs. 
  • InEd Studios launched 2 virtual production studios where faculty and university partners work closely with skilled Learning Designers and Video Production experts to craft cutting-edge digital content that resonate with the expectations of today's learners. Our new studios leverage state-of-the-art technology to create authentic and immersive 3-D environments powered by game engine technology.  
  • Innovative Education collaborated with USF faculty and CTPE to create and release a no-cost Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) titled "Exploring AI and ChatGPT: Impact and Possibilities." This course attracted more than 3,000 enrollments and received highly positive feedback from its participants. 

Awards and Presentations

  •  InEd鈥檚 AVP was featured as a keynote speaker for Topkit 2023 conference. 
  • Six InEd studios team members attended industry conferences this year, including Adobe Max in California and presenting at NAB in Las Vegas. 
  • Five members of the Tampa Learning Design team presented at three conferences (sessions were titled as follows: Implementing Perusall to Address Unique Educational Challenges with Diverse Learners, Bringing UDL Down to Earth: Creative Applications for S.T.E.M. Course Design, and A Weighty Matter: Promoting Size Diversity and Combating Weight Stigma in the Online Learning Context). 
  • The Digital Learning team hosted the Topkit 51在线 Faculty Development SUS Outreach Campaign, a half day conference for 51在线 universities, colleges and private institutions. 
  • Five members of the Tampa Digital Learning Training and Support team presented at seven conferences (sessions were titled as follows: Two million online proctored exams: What we have learned so far鈥; Online academic integrity: Flip it from an afterthought to a strategic PLAN; Two Million Online Proctored Exams: What We Have Learned So Far; Two Million Online Proctored Exams: What We Have Learned So Far; Implementing Perusall to Address Unique Educational Challenges With Diverse Learners; Flexible and High-Quality Course Design- Design and Implementation of Flexible Course Designs; Flexible and High-Quality Course Design- Design and Implementation of Flexible Course Designs and an additional submission, Using an Experience Sampling Method for Learning Experience Analysis: Mental Effort and Frustration, has been accepted to be presented in-person poster presentation by Division 15 - Educational Psychology. 
  • The Corporate Training and Professional Education has been named a Top 20 Education Partners for SHRM Exam Prep鈥痑nd the unit is ranked No. 1 in enrollments for SHRM Essentials. 
  • Two members of the Corporate Training and Professional Education presented at four conferences: UPCEA, AMP, National Council for Continuing Education and Training (NCCET)鈥痑nd the IEDC Conference. 
  • InEd Studios has received more than 80 national and global awards for its creative work and its work was selected for multiple International Film Festivals over the past decade.鈥 In 2022, the team won its 4th Suncoast Regional Emmy Award for work on a feature-length documentary film.鈥 

    Other 

  • InEd Studios team members play a pivotal role as guest lecturers at the Z-school, providing students with valuable real-world training through hands-on studio experiences. Additionally, four students from these schools participated in a paid internship program during the 2022-23 academic year.
