ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS 

The Department of Electrical Engineering is thankful for those who make generous donations to make these awards possible. The engineering scholarship program makes a profound difference in the educational experience of students by providing financial support and recognizing their exceptional efforts, accomplishments and contributions to the academic community.

The deadline for priority consideration is February 1 of each year.

PhD Fellowships

PhD Fellowships in Electrical Engineering
The department of Electrical Engineering offers three Graduate Fellowships for PhD students performing research at the department while pursuing their PhDEE degree; these are:  (1) Raghavendra Rao Palepu Fellowship; (2) Nageswara Rao Barri Fellowship; (3) Tulasi Barri Fellowship.  The fellowships are available for new PhDEE applicants and can provide up to $30k for 3 years of their PhD studies.  All applicants must have secured a research assistantship with one of the department faculty prior to applying.  Apply for the fellowships .


Scholarships

Allan R. Gondeck Endowed Scholarship
Provides a scholarship for an electrical engineering student. Additional scholarship criteria: full-time student, all academic levels, College of Engineering, Tampa campus.

Barbara Griffin Memorial Family Scholarship
Offers scholarships to full-time undergraduate students, pursuing a Computer Science and Engineering or Electrical Engineering major, in the College of Engineering, on the Tampa campus. This scholarship can be awarded 2 semesters and if based on merit with preference for financial need.

Don Bosco Endowed Scholarship
Provides scholarships to full-time junior level first generation students who are pursuing a major in: Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, in the College of Engineering on the Tampa campus. This scholarship is based on merit and is for students involved in service/volunteer work. The award will be $500 each semester to the same student. Strong preference for international student who is transferring from community college. 

EE Student Technology and Scholarship Fund
Supports students in Electrical Engineering with lab/classroom technology specifically for student use related to academics. Criteria for scholarships awarded from the fund are full or part-time students, all academic levels, Electrical Engineering majors, College of Engineering, Tampa campus. The scholarship can be awarded 2 semesters.

Engineering MATRIX Scholarship
Provides annual scholarship support to USF students.  Scholarship criteria: Minimum GPA 2.5; resident of Hillsborough, Pinellas, or Pasco County; junior or senior grade level; Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering majors who are full or part-time students in the College of Engineering on the Tampa campus.

International Society of Automation Tampa Bay Scholarship
Offers scholarships to full or part-time students at the junior and senior academic level, pursuing a major in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Computer Science Engineering, in the College of Engineering on the Tampa campus. This scholarship is based on merit and can be awarded 2 semesters. A minimum of $1000 per semester will be awarded. 

Matthew James Moreno Scholarship
Provides scholarships to full-time students at all academic levels, pursing a Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Information Technology major in the College of Engineering on all campuses. This scholarship is based on merit with a preference for financial need and can be awarded 2 semesters.

Osborn Engineering Scholarship
Offers scholarships to full-time students at all academic levels, pursuing a Civil & Environmental, Electrical, IMSE or Mechanical major, in the College of Engineering on all campuses. This scholarship is based on merit and financial need and can be awarded 2 semesters. 

Ralph Fehr III Memorial Scholarship
Provides scholarships to full-time students, at all academic levels, pursuing an Electrical Engineering major, in the College of Engineering, on the Tampa campus. This scholarship is based on merit with a preference for financial need and can be awarded 2 semesters. Preference for a student showing exceptional work in Power Systems Engineering. 

Schnabel-Sparacio Scholarship Endowment
Scholarships to full-time, currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students in the College of Engineering on the Tampa campus of USF, majoring in Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering. This scholarship is restricted based on merit and financial need (as determined by FAFSA). This scholarship can be awarded two semesters. Preference for a student who is a United States citizen or a permanent resident of the United States. Consideration should be given to leadership in a student chapter of Computer Science or Electrical Engineering professional societies and/or membership in a related society.

Tom A. Tiedemann Scholarship Fund in Engineering
Scholarships for full-time undergraduate or graduate students in the USF College of Engineering on the Tampa campus. Preference will be given to electrical engineering students; students with financial need (as determined by FAFSA); and merit (as determined by USF established GPA requirements). Leadership positions and community service activities will also be taken into consideration.
