Research Initiative for Supporting Education (RISE) is a project that launched a new interdisciplinary educational research center, Caribbean Educational Research Center (CERC) to support education policy development and timely decision-making on issues impacting schools in the Caribbean. Faculty from USF and UWI collaborate on professional development activities, research design and building a cross-cultural mentorship network.

The College of Education welcomes Luis R. Visot as the college’s new assistant dean of administration and innovation. In this newly created role, Visot will manage internal administrative activities and external innovation projects on behalf of the Dean. He will also provide leadership, oversight and guidance for new initiatives and projects of high importance and engage faculty and staff in identifying opportunities to implement effective improvements and responses.
