Mission

Our mission is to engage students, staff and faculty in the daily practice of self-care for mental and physical health. Through the materials and tools that we provide at no charge, we strive to teach about self-care, the importance of healing and taking care of ones mental and physical body in order to be able to be most effective and safe while practicing their profession and in their personal lives.

At CALM we prioritize and focus on the 8 dimensions of wellness. Our mission is to support and engage students, staff, and faculty in cultivating a balanced and fulfilling life by addressing these dimensions comprehensively. Through various resources, tools, and activities provided free of charge, we aim to promote well-being in the following areas:

  • Physical Wellness: We encourage individuals to engage in regular physical activities, maintain a healthy diet, get sufficient rest, and adopt habits that enhance their physical health.
  • Emotional Wellness: We offer opportunities for individuals to develop emotional intelligence, manage stress effectively, build resilience, and nurture positive relationships.
  • Intellectual Wellness: We facilitate lifelong learning, promote intellectual curiosity, and provide resources that stimulate the mind and foster personal growth.
  • Social Wellness: We create a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals can connect with others, build meaningful relationships, and foster a sense of belonging.
  • Occupational Wellness: We help individuals find satisfaction and fulfillment in their work or academic pursuits, while also promoting work-life balance and a positive occupational environment.
  • Environmental Wellness: We encourage participants to develop an awareness of their impact on the environment and support sustainable practices to create a healthier planet.
  • Spiritual Wellness: We respect and support individuals' exploration of their inner selves, values, and beliefs, fostering an environment where they can find inner peace and purpose.
  • Financial Wellness: We provide resources and guidance to help individuals make informed financial decisions, manage their finances effectively, and plan for future financial security.
