Rightpath Associate Professor Trina Spencer’s Research Lab Undergraduate Students Present at USF Undergraduate Research Showcase and Conference

Dr. Spencer works with undergraduate research students to provide mentoring while encouraging them to learn the science of behavior so that it can be applied to interdisciplinary and general education issues such as professional development, instructional design, and the promotion of academic language.

CFS Associate Professor Trina Spencer, PhD Shares Fulbright Experience in South Africa

After several starts and stops and a year and a half delay, CFS Associate Professor Dr. Trina Spencer finally made it to South Africa. She won a Fulbright award in 2020, but due to COVID-19, she was unable to begin her experience until 2022.

Professor Jason Anthony Provides Expertise to 51ÔÚÏß's Association of Early Learning Coalitions and Committee for Early Grade Success
He has extensive expertise in the foundational roles of language, literacy and mathematics development in early childhood and has recently been sought out to share knowledge gained from his research in the assessment of children, family-and school-based interventions, and program evaluation and statistics.

PhD Candidate in Rightpath Selected for Research Scholarship from Spencer Foundation
Noé Erazo, M.A., a doctoral candidate in the Rightpath Research and Innovation Center was recently selected through a competitive application process to become a Research Scholar of the Spencer Foundation as part of their Research-Practice Partnership grant program.

Graduate Research Associate Noé Erazo Advances to Doctoral Candidacy
Mr. Erazo, a Graduate Research Associate within CFS's Rightpath Research and Innovation Center, has advanced to a Doctoral Candidacy in the college’s interdisciplinary program in Behavioral and Community Sciences.

Fall 2020 Distance Learning Course: School-Based Mental Health Services
This course taught by Dr. Matthew Foster aims to equip students with fundamental knowledge and skills related to evidence-based behavioral health prevention and intervention in schools with an emphasis on cross systems collaboration and multi-tiered systems of services and supports.


She will serve as chair of ASHA's Clinical Research, Implementation Science, and Evidence-Based Practice committee from January 2020 to December 2022.


Approximately 30 undergraduate students from the Bilingual Language and Literacy Investigative Networking Group (BLLING) volunteered their time to create and assemble educational materials before the trip.


The Journal of Educational Psychology is a top-tier, peer reviewed journal published by the American Psychological Association.


Dr. Spencer traveled as part of a humanitarian group to help build capacity of Belarusians’ to work with young children with autism.


Dr. Trina D. Spencer has been awarded a 4-year $1.3 million research grant from the U.S. Department of Education's Institute of Education Sciences to help reduce the language-based achievement gap in primary grades.
