Students
Mohammed Al Zaben is a senior pursuing a degree in Finance at the 51ÔÚÏß. Born
and raised in Saudi Arabia, Mohammed relocated to Tampa to further his education.
While at USF, he was involved in several student organizations including the Phi Chi
Theta Business Fraternity, the Business Development Club, and the Investment Club.
Throughout his time at USF, Mohammed’s keen interest in finance has driven him to
excel academically and gain hands-on experience. In the Summer of 2024, he interned
at Deloitte on the Finance and Performance Consulting team gaining valuable professional
experience. Mohammed anticipates that the Applied Securities Analysis program at USF
will advance his knowledge of finance and cultivate the skills necessary to succeed
in the field.
Brady Albright is a junior pursuing degrees in both Finance and Business Management. Originally
from Connecticut, Brady spent much of his upbringing in Rochester, New York, with
a formative period in the United Kingdom, eventually returning to New York where he
honed his leadership skills as the captain and MVP of his high school varsity soccer
team. When he landed in 51ÔÚÏß, he immediately immersed himself in the many opportunities
the Bay has to offer, joining the Business Honors Program and beginning a work shadow
program with the finance and accounting team at the Tampa Bay Rays. Also in his first
semester, he earned a position at Quilty Space, a firm that specializes in financial
research, advising, and investment banking services for the Satellite & Space sector,
where he continues to contribute. He has also enriched his learning experience through
being a member of the Judy Genshaft Honors College, broadening his perspective beyond
business. Albright looks to contribute his skills and unique insights as a select
analyst of our Student Managed Investment Fund, before graduating and pursuing a career
in high finance.
Maximus Alexander-Nino is a senior finance student at the 51ÔÚÏß and a first generation
college student. He joined the Student Managed Investment Fund to deepen his understanding
of investments, gain practical real-world experience, and build confidence in pitching.
Maximus has gained valuable experience through internships at Kiewit and Raymond James
Financial, where he developed key financial and analytical skills. In addition to
his academic pursuits, Maximus serves in the 51ÔÚÏß Army National Guard and works
as a mixologist in Tampa Bay, demonstrating his ability to balance multiple responsibilities
while excelling in both leadership and service.
Nicolas Castillo is a senior pursuing a degree in finance. Born and raised in Colombia, he has been
fascinated by how money and markets work since he was little and came to the US to
pursue his passion for financial markets. Outside of being an analyst in the Student
Managed Investment Fund, Castillo is involved in the professional business fraternity,
Phi Chi Theta, and the student investment club as a global investment research analyst
on the FICC team. He also serves as the treasurer of one of the largest organizations
on campus. During the summer of 2024, he interned at S&P Global Ratings as a credit
analyst in the corporate ratings group for the transportation, auto, and aerospace
& defense team. Prior to S&P Global, he interned at Banco de Bogotá, one of the largest
financial institutions in Colombia, as a financial analyst. After graduation in the
fall of 2024, Castillo plans to obtain a CFA designation while pursuing a career in
finance.
Alexander Dimitrov is a senior pursuing a finance degree with a concentration in investment analysis.
Growing up in Clearwater, 51ÔÚÏß, he has always had an interest in the stock market
and finance. He is a member of Student Investment Club and enjoys partaking in intramural
basketball and soccer to build connections and friendships. Throughout his tenure
at USF, Alexander has received the USF Gold and Bulgarian American Police Association
scholarships. After graduation, Alexander plans to utilize the skills from Applied
Securities Analysis to pursue a master’s degree in financial analytics and a career
in investment banking. He plans to take the Securities Industry Essentials exam with
the knowledge gained from the program.
Aleksandar Dosan is a senior studying marketing and finance with a concentration in investment analysis.
He has had two internships at Morean Arts Center as a finance & marketing intern and
as a Financial Advisor intern at Kingsbury Financial Advisors. Currently, He is interning
at Raymond James Financial as a seasonal associate in PCG Investment Central. Aside
from that, he is involved in student organizations Delta Sigma Pi, serving as the
VP of Finance, and the Investment Club as an Equity Research associate. Aleks received
his SIE in March 2024 to foster a foundation of his knowledge of investments. He plans
to go after the CFA charter in hopes of helping him develop a career in Equity Research.
He is taking CFA level 1 in February 2025.
Daniel Duran was born and raised in Colombia, holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, and
is currently a senior majoring in Finance at USF. He moved to the USA to seek new
learning opportunities through the Finance career at USF. Throughout his time at USF,
he has experienced professional and personal growth through the classes and the involvements
of student organizations in which he has served as a Global Investment Research Analyst
with the Investment Club, an Investment Banking and Private Equity Analyst at the
Private Equity and Venture Capital Club, a Finance Consultant with Hexa Consulting
at USF, and an Equity Research Analyst for the Student Managed Investment Fund. Likewise,
He has had experiences through internships and externships in Financial Planning,
Corporate Finance, and Venture Capital.
Claudio Fratini is currently a senior majoring in Finance. Born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela,
he came to USF three years ago to pursue higher education, with the goal of succeeding
as a professional in the financial field. During his first three years at the university,
Claudio achieved a 3.95 GPA, making the Dean’s List in 6 consecutive semesters. Over
the last two summers, Claudio has gained experience in different areas of Business
and Finance, with internships at Ernst & Young and Venezuela Investment Partners Capital
(a boutique investment bank based in Caracas). His internships and his independent
investing experience have helped him deepen his understanding of financial markets
and important concepts of corporate finance. This year, Claudio will be a part of
the Student Managed Investment Fund, continuing to expand his knowledge of equity
markets.
Caleb Ivey is a Senior pursuing a degree in Finance with a concentration in investment analysis.
Originally from Tallahassee FL he relocated to the Tampa Bay region nearly a decade
ago when his father accepted a position at Citigroup. With his father and uncle, an
executive at Bank of America, Caleb grew up surrounded by a passion for the financial
industry. Actively trading stocks since the age of 18, he became obsessed with the
intricacies of how and why securities rise and fall. These experiences have fueled
his interest in finance and his desire to learn more about securities analysis. Outside
of his educational endeavors, Caleb is a lifelong outdoorsman and is actively involved
in the non-profit organization Captains for Clean Water. After graduation, he aspires
to pursue a career in fixed-income or mergers and acquisitions.
Aaisha Jamal is a driven and accomplished senior at the 51ÔÚÏß, pursuing
dual degrees in Finance and Entrepreneurship, along with a minor in Nutrition. Anticipating
her graduation in Spring 2025, Aaisha has consistently demonstrated academic excellence,
maintaining four scholarships and a 4.0 GPA throughout her studies. Her summers are
a testament to her dedication and versatility, balancing advanced coursework, internships,
and global travel. Aaisha's passion for empowering others in their pursuits fuels
her ambition to build a career in consulting, with a focus on helping businesses and
individuals achieve their full potential. Following the completion of the Applied
Securities Analysis program, she is eager to leverage her knowledge and experiences
in the consulting field, where she can continue to make a meaningful impact.
Jasmeen Kaur is a senior at the 51ÔÚÏß, pursuing dual degrees in Finance
and Accounting. Her passion for business was ignited early, counting cash and managing
inventory at her grandmother’s store and later setting pricing strategies at her father’s
restaurant. As a first-generation college student, Jasmeen is committed to breaking
barriers for women in finance. Over the past nine years, she has been actively involved
in a non-profit military-based leadership program, where her passion for inspiring
and empowering others has flourished. She has professional experience in construction
project management and private credit. She believes that joining the Applied Securities
Analysis program would further solidify her technical and fundamental financial expertise.
With plans to take the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam this year and the
CFA Level I exam, Series 86 and Series 87 next year, Jasmeen is on track to graduate
in December 2024.
Khoi Le is an ambitious senior who is pursuing a degree in Finance with a concentration in
Investment Analysis. Being the first in his family to pursue higher education, Khoi's
passion for finance was sparked by his high school lacrosse coach, who also worked
as a financial advisor. During practices, the coach would talk to them about personal
finance from time to time. Over the past year, Khoi has been actively involved in
the USF Student Investment Club, where he serves as a Fixed Income & Committee Associate,
as well as the Business Development Club, where he holds the position of Vice President.
Additionally, Khoi recently completed an internship at Raymond James Financial as
a Supervision Summer Associate. He aims to utilize the skills acquired from the ASA
program to pursue a career in equity research.
Camila Magrin is a junior pursuing a degree in Finance and Econometrics. Born and raised in Brazil,
she dedicated 16 years to playing tennis, eventually competing at the varsity level
in college at a Division II institution. Her passion for finance led her to gain hands-on
experience through internships at prestigious firms like XP Investimentos, Prinz Capital,
Sicoob Bank, and Santander, where she developed a strong foundation in the industry.
These experiences solidified her interest in private banking, motivating her to begin
her CFA journey in her senior year. Camila joined the Applied Security Analysis Program
to further hone her skills, recognizing its value in preparing her for future internships
and career opportunities. With a clear goal of building a career in private banking,
she is committed to leveraging her analytical abilities and industry knowledge to
help clients achieve financial success.
Jonathan Martin is a junior pursuing a degree in Finance. His interest in finance began in high school
when he started building a portfolio of his own and reading books about investing.
Jonathan has participated in both the Student Finance Association and the Investment
Club. He has joined the Applied Securities Analysis program to increase his knowledge
about financial markets and to improve his analytical skills. Outside of USF, he works
as an M&A research analyst intern at BowPoint and serves as a part-time Head Chess
Coach at several elementary school chess clubs.
Olivia Samson, from Jupiter, FL, is a USF Senior pursing dual degrees in Finance, with a concentration
in investment analytics, and Entrepreneurship. Olivia has had a keen interest in the
mechanics of financial markets from a young age, sparked by her father’s past career
as an investment banker. Olivia gained an advanced analytical foundation from her
three years experience as a data analyst for a prominent advertising agency. Olivia
is SIE licensed and is currently studying for her series 66 certification. Olivia
has completed multiple internships; one with Giraffe Media Group, where she developed
an interactive KPI analytics system, and this past summer with J.P. Morgan Private
Bank, where she assisted in the management of ultra-high net worth individuals. Olivia
is now working a year long position on the Business Development team with specialized
asset management firm, Star Mountain Capital, alongside her studies and SMIF participation.
Olivia looks forward to starting her career as she is amidst deciding between a couple
of offers to join investment firms post graduation.
Chau Tran is a junior pursuing dual degrees in Finance and Quantitative Economics & Econometrics.
Born and raised in Vietnam, she developed her passion for business and finance after
watching her parents’ construction business from a young age. With her strong desire
to learn and grow, Chau decided to pursue higher education in America, the largest
financial hub in the world, to broaden her perspective and enhance her knowledge of
global finance to expand her family business. After joining USF in 2022, she has received
multiple scholarships and made the Dean’s List every semester with a GPA of 3.95.
By joining the Applied Securities Analysis program, she aims to develop her technical
skills and enhance her knowledge of finance and equity research. After graduating,
she plans to pursue a career in equity research and is actively seeking an internship
for an equity research analyst role for the summer of 2025.
Ngoc Tran is an international student coming from Vietnam. Her passion for finance comes from
her parent’s experience in banking and trading securities. Upon attending USF, she
decides to pursue a dual degree in Finance and Quantitative Economics & Econometrics.
With her current internship, she works closely with the CFO to raise capital, gaining
real-world experience in financial operations, fundraising, and investor relations.
She is currently competing in the Bloomberg Trading Challenge and plans to take the
Securities Industry Essential exam by the end of this year. Ngoc joined Applied Security
Analysis to gain more hands-on experience in financial modeling and equity research,
which will support her in her future career. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue
a career in investment analysis.
Niklas Túgvustein is an international student from the Faroe Islands, currently a senior pursuing a
Bachelor’s degree in Finance with a concentration in Investment Analysis and a minor
in Economics. His passion for the financial industry was ignited by Warren Buffett
in 2017, and has only deepened since then. In 2021, Niklas made the pivotal decision
to move to the U.S. to advance his goal of becoming an asset management expert. He
currently serves as a Global Investment Research Analyst at the USF Investment Club,
and as an Equity Research Analyst at the Student Managed Investment Fund. Following
graduation, Niklas plans to pursue a Master’s in Finance and obtain the CFA certification
to further his career in finance.
Guilherme Wagner is a senior double majoring in Finance, with a concentration in Investment Analysis,
and Quantitative Economics & Econometrics, on track to graduate in Spring 2025. Originally
from Brazil, he pursued his passion for financial markets at USF, earning multiple
merit-based scholarships and maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.8. Guilherme co-founded
and served as President of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization and actively
participates in the Investment Club, gaining experience in Global Investment Research,
Asset Management, and Wealth Management. In the summer of 2024, he interned as a commercial
lender at Lake Michigan Credit Union and earned his SIE certification. Currently,
he is enhancing his expertise through the Applied Securities Analysis program, preparing
for a career in asset or wealth management after graduation.
