2nd Annual State of the Program Hosted by the School of Information

Each year, the USF School of Information (SI) hosts a State of the Program event where we discuss accomplishments of the M.A. in Library and Information Science program, where we aim to be over the next few years, and where we recognize our Jean Key Gates Distinguished Alumni Award winner along with our USF SI Outstanding Student Award winner.

Dr. Natalie Taylor Appointed to ALISE Council of Deans, Directors, and Chairs

The Council of Deans, Directors, and Chairs consists of the chief executive officer of each individual ALISE Institutional member school. Through its annual program, the Council provides a platform for the administrators in library and information science education to address the profession and a structure whereby the executive officers can meet together to seek solutions to common problems and to make reports and recommendations to the Association.

Dr. Alon Friedman Awarded NSF Grant to Study Increasing the Quality of Peer Review

Dr. Alon Friedman has been awarded a U.S. National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to put towards his project Using Behavioral Nudges in Peer Review to Improve Critical Analysis in STEM Courses. This award reflects NSF's statutory mission and has been deemed worthy of support through evaluation using the Foundation's intellectual merit and broader impacts review criteria.
