Research Areas
The research focuses on discovering and developing fundamentally new optical-based imaging technologies for in vivo visualization of tissue at both macroscopic and microscopic scales. By integrating optics with advanced computational approaches, novel imaging tools are created to detect cancers, map brain activities, probe inflammations, and guide cancer therapies in both animals and humans.
- Advanced model-based iterative reconstruction algorithm based on FEM or FDTD.
- Real-Time multispectral optical imaging system utilizing parallel computing (CUDA) for imaging brain activity and connectivity.
- Miniaturized multi-modal imaging system for tumor detection and intraoperative surgical guidance.
- Advanced Image processing algorithms for medical imaging.
- AI-assisted diagnostics for cancer detection and seizure prediction and intervention
