Graduation Day Quotes
Graduates from the USF College of Education shared on their special day why their degree means so much to them and their future in teaching. These graduates plan to take their degree and make a positive impact on the community.
鈥淓arning my elementary education degree has taught me more about myself than ever, even at 39!! It had taught me to be a better mother when I did not think that was possible. It has molded me into a better wife and future employee. It has provided me with the knowledge to be the teacher so many students desperately need, and I am so excited to start my journey as a Kindergartner teacher in July!! Most of all, this degree allowed me to teach my three young children that it is never too late to pursue your dreams and goals in life!! This degree means more than a piece of paper, more than a new career, it means promise for my family's future!! Go Bulls!!鈥 said Tiffany Robinson, Spring 2023 graduate, Bachelor of Elementary Education.
鈥淎s a first-generation college graduate getting my second degree represents a story of overcoming obstacles, conquering goals and paving the way for my son. The Master of Educational Leadership equips me to continue my work toward systemic change for other students of color like myself who are working to pull themselves up, be seen in society and make real change in the world. The sky鈥檚 the limit,鈥 said Yolanda Vasquez, Spring 2023 graduate, Master of Educational Leadership.
''Through my overseas learning journey, I have concluded that each of us has something to learn from others and something to teach in return. I am ready now to return to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and be a leader willing to help the students and guide them to reduce their stress and increase their learning capability,'' said Sadeem Alolayan, Spring 2023 graduate, Doctorate of Curriculum and Instruction.
