Social work associate professor visits Peru to discuss strengthening mental health initiatives

Galea speaks to leadership at the San Fernando School of Medicine.

Jerome Galea, PhD, LCSW, an associate professor of social work and agency mental health coordinator of the United States Agency for International Development, visited the San Fernando School of Medicine in Lima, Peru, on Nov. 13. The visit aimed to explore possible inter-institutional cooperation and alliances to strengthen mental health initiatives in the university community.

During the session, the participants shared their experiences and discussed possible collaborations in the mental health field and ways to promote well-being in the university community.
