Career Opportunities
The prepares students for entry-level positions in agencies that provide treatment for individuals with mental health and/or substance abuse problems. Graduates will have employment opportunities in community agencies that provide direct services to individuals and their families as well as in state agencies that provide oversight of publicly funded programs. It is anticipated that most graduates will gain direct experience for two or more years and then seek graduate degrees in disciplines such as mental health counseling, psychology, social work, applied behavior analysis, aging studies, public health, or public administration.
