Students Explore Field Experience Opportunities at CRMHC Fair
A field placement fair was held February 9, 2024 for students in the Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling (CRMHC) program at USF to learn more about the partnerships CRMHC has with private practices, non-profit agencies, and federal and state government organizations in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, and surrounding areas. Field experiences provide students with opportunities to practice concepts and skills learned in the classroom and to see how different rehabilitation counseling, mental health counseling, and related human service agencies and programs function.
A variety of field placement options allow students to serve veterans, couples, families, individuals with disabilities, survivors of trauma, individuals experiencing homelessness, general mental health concerns, addictions, eating disorders, and a variety of other populations.
Annually, CRMHC students complete an average of 38,000 hours in counseling and related services. The CRMHC program is among the nation鈥檚 top 50 in Best Health Schools, Rehabilitation Counseling, according to recent rankings released by U.S. News & World Report.
