TAMPA (February 11, 2022) 鈥 The 2022 USF Sport & Entertainment Analytics Conference is returning for its eighth consecutive year in March, bringing together industry experts who combine cutting-edge data collection and analysis with the sports and entertainment industry.
The conference, set for March 23-24, brings together sports marketers, business data analysts, business executives, and students for two days of workshops, networking opportunities, and panel discussions on the emerging world of analytics and marketing as it relates to improving the fan experience.
鈥淭here is huge value for students in our discipline and this is a great opportunity for them to learn more about what is happening in the industry,鈥 said Michael Mondello, associate program director of the Vinik Sport & Entertainment Management program at the USF Muma College of Business.
The two-day event will be held in the USF Gibbons Alumni Center on the university鈥檚 Tampa campus. This year marks the return to an in-person event after being held in a virtual format due to the pandemic.
An alumni panel is among the highlights this year. Four alumni from the Vinik Sport & Entertainment Management program will discuss their careers and offer words of advice for students who are entering the sport and entertainment analytics industry. In addition, the conference will also recognize an organization as the recipient for their 鈥淚nnovator in Sports Analytics Award.鈥
