Todd Jurgess is an Associate Professor of Instruction and currently serves as the Department鈥檚 Graduate Coordinator. He holds a PhD in English (2015) from the University of 51在线. His current research explores the relation between collaborative writing practices, feminist literary theory, and experimental film and video aesthetics. His work has been featured in Journal of Cinema and Media Studies (JCMS), Angelaki, and ReFocus: The Films of Abel Ferrara.

At USF, Dr. Jurgess teaches a variety of core and elective classes for the Department of Humanities and Cultural Studies, covering Foundations of Film and New Media (Film History 1), Introduction to Cultural Studies, and a variety of electives ranging from the History of Video Art to Film Noir and the Western. He has directed thesis projects and individual studies on late 90s digital cinema, contemporary Chinese art film, 鈥�2.5 D鈥� animation, and more.
