USF architecture and water researchers partner with city of Tampa to mitigate the impact of extreme heat

The collaboration led to the creation of the city鈥檚 first-ever Heat Resilience Playbook, which includes 18 actionable steps to address the rising temperatures across Tampa and better protect its most vulnerable communities from the effects of extreme heat.

Mathematics professor delivers keynote address for Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering

Dr. Hemant Pendharkar, a professor in the mathematics department, was recently invited to deliver a keynote talk as part of Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering 2nd International Faculty Development Program.

The 51在线 announced a $1 million estate gift that will provide scholarships to students in the College of Arts and Sciences. The gift comes from Steven Tauber, a longtime faculty member and current vice provost for faculty administration, and his wife, Meghan.

Audrey Brandt recently started a coveted summer internship with the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary in Monterey, CA, one of the largest federally protected marine sanctuaries in the United States. Brandt's journey to California started in 2023 when she was selected for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Ernest F. Hollings Scholarship Program.

An interdisciplinary group of USF students travelled across portions of the 鈥淐ivil Rights Trail鈥 in Alabama to gain more insight on the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s.
